Dwayne Cameron, "Bray" Bray has been around since Series 1. He has moved from Eco-Warrior, to Politician, to Rebel Leader over the course of the three seasons. His love life has been the most complex and interesting The Tribe has seen. Lets see, theres been Ebony, Trudy, Salene, Moon, Danni (oh God, dont get me started), and finally Amber, the love of his life. Bray and Amber are currently awaiting the birth of their child.
Dwayne does not return for Season 4 because he is going to Uni.
Dwayne was 17 years old in Series I and has trained at O`Grady`s Drama Academy. His experience in television drama includes roles in Amazon High and One of Them. He has also appeared in several television commercials. Dwayne played the part of Chris in Jessicas Diary , a screenplay in the Cloud 9 series William Shatner`s A Twist in the Tail.
Caleb Ross, "Lex" Lex is another original Mall Rat. He came to the Mall with the ever-faithful Zandra and Ryan in tow. Caleb was 17 years old in Series I. As a member of the Whangeri Amateur Opera and Dramatics Society he has had a variety of stage experiences including roles in Evita, Godspell and Peter Pan. In 1994 Caleb played the part of Brett in the New Zealand feature film Avondale Dogs. His recent television work includes playing Temecula in Xena and Logan Patterson in Shortland Street. Caleb has also had roles in Hercules and Plainclothes.
Meryl Cassie, "Ebony" Ebony was the leader of the Locos until she joined the Mall Rats right before Eagle Mountain. She had a relationship with the brothers Martian and Bray, pre-virus. She led the entire tribe to believe that Amber was dead when, in realty, Ebony had told Amber that she and Bray had a baby. She tried many times to get involved with Bray, but he always rebuffed her advances. Through a complex series of deceptions, Ebony is now the city leader.
Meryl was 14 years old in Series I - she is now 16. She has trained in drama at the Young People's Theatre and Nathan Homestead. Her experience in front of the camera includes numerous photographic shoots as well as extra work on Hercules and Shortland Street. Meryl loves to sing and does just that at every chance she gets.
Victoria Spence, "Salene" Salene was originally a mother figure for the younger members of the tribe. She was with Bray for a while, but decided it couldn't continue when Trudy tried to kill herself over the relationship. Since then she has had strong feelings for Bray but dated and married Ryan. She got pregnant by Ryan, but had a miscarriage when she fell down the stairs. Salene is currently out searching for Ryan.
Victoria was 14 years old in Series I. She has experience as a stills photographic model and has appeared in several television commercials. Her drama work includes a lead role in The Joker as well as parts in Memory and Desire, Shortland Street, Jack be Nimble and Mother Tongue. Victoria played the part of Zoe in William Shatner`s A Twist in the Tale - The Duellists.
Luke was originally The Guardians deputy, carrying out The Guardians orders and making sure their little empire ran smoothly. Though Luke was a part of the Chosen, and he believed in their doctrine, he didn't agree with the direction the tribe was being taken. After the Chosen were overthrown, he was confined to the mall for fear of lynching. Since then, a relationship with Ellie has blossomed, and he has become the city treasurer.
Jacob is 21 years old. He has had roles in various productions. In 2000 he was a stunt performer for Peter Jackson in The Lord of The Rings. He has had roles in film, television commercials and television drama. In 2000 he had a guest role in a film called Snakeskin. Jacob's hobbies include martial arts, dance parties, painting, photography, theatre, and anything relating to the arts.

Beth Allen, "Amber"
Amber has also been around since season 1. Shes a strong leader and takes care of the weaker and younger members of the tribe. It was believed that Amber died on Eagle Mountain in search of the antidote, but in reality Ebony had tricked her into believing that she and Bray had a baby together. Ebony told the rest of the tribe that Amber was dead. Amber was then found by Pride of the Gaians. She was taken to his tribe an eventually became leader. She was later found again by Bray, and after many episodes that left us screaming at the TV, Bray and Amber finally got back together. Amber is now back in the mall and awaiting the birth of her child.
Beth was 14 years old in Series I and has been acting since 1993. She was a member of the PAS Childrens Theatre and appeared in Pinocchio and Hairy Maclary at Aucklands Aotea Centre. She has been in several television commercials, had a guest role as Eva in the television drama Riding High and played Young Julie in the feature film The Ugly. Beth was a core cast member in Cloud 9`s The Legend of William Tell, in which she played Princess Vara. This was followed by a lead role in William Shatner`s A Twist in the Tail - The Green Dress.
Nick Miller, "Pride" Pride came on the scene at the beginning of Season 3. A prominent member of the "eco-tribe", Pride is shy, reserved and polite. He lives by a code of conduct, means no harm to others, and has an affinity for nature. But despite these characteristics, Pride will take action and be forthright without hesitation to defend what he feels is right. Is his future in the city or back in the countryside? He has deep feelings for Amber but still brought she and Bray together at the beginning of Season 3. He is currently involved with May, but he feels suffocated by her.
Nick is 20 years old and has acting experience in a range of media. He has a variety of stage experiences including roles in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Summer Shakespeare, Arcadia, and of course many school productions. Nick has made appearances in guest roles on many of New Zealand's soaps and dramas. He made his television debut in 1996 in an ongoing role as Sean Kearney on Shortland Street. Nick has also had guest roles on Street Legal and Jackson's Wharf. The Tribe Series III was his first Core cast role. Nick enjoys, singing, canoeing, skydiving, swimming, rock climbing and being a DJ.
Michael Wesley-Smith, "Jack" Jack was the original inhabitant of the mall. He has since discovered the antidote formula with Dal, fallen in love with Ellie, and been captured by the Chosen and sent away to work on "Projects". Jack left at the beginning of season 3, returned again to find his girlfriend kissing an ex-Chosen, left again, and finally returned near the end.
Michael was 15 years old in Series I. He has studied drama for four years at school and has taken several drama courses. Michael has had roles in a number of radio plays for Radio New Zealand such as Yellow Bride and The Baby Farmer. Michael was a member of the guest cast in the Cloud 9 production of The Legend of William Tell.
Ryan Runciman, "Ryan" Ryan came to the mall with Lex and Zandra in the first episode of Season 1. He was Lex's lackey but then found his own identity. He was in love with Zandra for a time, but when she got married he moved on and found love in Salene. He and Salene got married at the end of Season 2. Ryan is currently missing after being taken away by the Chosen.
Ryan was sixteen years old in Series I. He has acting experience in a variety of media. He has had roles in film, television commercials and television drama as well as being experienced in voice over work and stills photographic work. Ryan is also a trained singer and tap dancer. Ryan played the part of Darren Hunt in the Duellists, a screenplay in Cloud 9`s previous production, William Shatner`s A Twist in the Tale.
